On Wednesday 18th December 2019 in association with the Asmir Begovic Goalkeeper Academy, we launched our first extravaganza. We were delighted to bring 60 children an awesome one day football festival.
The focus was on your child having fun! In the morning, players developed their technical skills delivered by FA qualified and UEFA B licensed coaches. In the afternoon, the children transferred their skills mastered into real games.
Their day finished with a question and answer session with Chelsea's goalkeeper Willy Caballero.
Thank you to our local partners. For Cobham FC for their invaluable support. Lunch was provided by Papa John’s Pizza, snacks by the Juice Smith Cobham and every child received a free t-shirt to remember their experience.
Respect, collaboration, inclusivity ...
A BIG thank you to everyone who made this years football festival such a huge success. A special thank you to our Premier League guest, Tim (Fulham FC ) who did a Q&A with the players and gave them some professional top tips.
The unique inclusive community and charity football day event bought together boys and girls aged 4 - 12 years old to play the game they love. The day was full of fun, encouraging a positive mindset through good sportsmanship and giving back to the community as a whole.
For every registration fee, we will donate £1 to each of our chosen charity partners.
The football festival kickstarts a partnership between Surrey Soccer Schools and Alive and Kicking. We'll be working together to give young people facing disadvantage regular access to sport through growing the ball library network.
We’lll be supporting the Asmir Begovic Foundation that has started to enable both the building and improvement of recreational facilities in England, and also in Asmir’s birth country of Bosnia and Herzegovina. They are passionate about encouraging kids to be active and live a fun and healthy lifestyle, with the opportunity to partake in various sports activities.
