We were decided to supported The Children’s Society, who help to change children's live by working towards a country that is free from disadvantage. Their dedicated project workers and volunteers tackle child poverty and neglect head-on.
Together they help families trapped in debt, support young carers, runaways and stop exploitation. They seek to make a difference with every child they work with.
During the lockdowns we have felt a responsibility to support the well being of all children. As co-founders of Surrey Soccer Schools, we are also teachers. We understand the importance, familiarity and routine that a school provides.
Teachers are often a trusted adult who children are able to reach out too. The closure of schools puts many children at risk. Unfortunately this out a huge number of children in a vulnerable position, and there was likely to be an increase in children who are at risk and unable to reach out. It is therefore more important than ever to support charities who can support vulnerable children and give them the best possible chance in life.
